The goal is to save lives by making land and buildings contaminated by Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) safe for residents and businesses alike — so commerce can return. Clearance removes the immediate danger, but it also restores confidence: minefields become crop fields and playgrounds, and communities can rebuild the livelihoods that are so often forgotten once a conflict ends.
